CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1 Kit Eyeshadow Purple Pop

CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1 Kit Eyeshadow: Purple Pop
Normally I don't buy Covergirl makeup.  Most of their packaging looks cheap and there aren't a lot of their products that are that great.  With dollar off coupons though, its makes me want to look at the brand more because I know I won't be paying full price.  Covergirl's eye enhancers single eyeshadow in "Purple Pop" was one of the products I received a dollar off.  In search of a good purple eyeshadow, I basically said what the hell.  This color is a medium purple with a blue sheen.  When I swatched it on my hand I thought it was just alright.  When I finally applied it to my eye, I still thought it was alright.  It took awhile to place the color on my lid, so the pigmentation isn't the greatest.  It also didn't blend so nicely on my lid.  It's a pretty purple, but that's about it.
Where can I buy this?: Walmart, Target, Drugstores, also found online
What is the cost?: between $3 and $5
Would I recommend this?: NO

Jemma Kidd i-tech liquid liner in Covet

Jemma Kidd i-tech liquid liner in Covet
After swatching this product three separate times at the store, I finally decided I needed to purchase this liquid eyeliner.  The only thing that are setting me back was the $16 price tag.  I thought it might be possible to find a less expensive alternative, but nothing compared to this.  The color is an incredible blue with a touch of green and gold.  The staying power is amazing, on my hand it held up nearly three days!  The applicator I am not a huge fan of, though I never really am a fan of liquid eyeliner applicators.  Instead I substitute it for one of my own brushes.
Where can I buy this?: Target stores, target.com
What is the cost?: $16

Chilled On Ice Paint Pot MAC Cham-Pale Collection

I only purchased one thing from the current MAC collection Cham-Pale. Above is the paint pot Chilled On Ice. Paint pots can be used on the eye lid either as a eyeshadow base or alone as it's own. On the lid, gold glitter shows. It is really pretty and doesn't crease when used on it's own. I purchased this from www.maccosmetics.com The price is $16.50

Essie Nail Polish being sold at WalMart?

Thats right, the professional nail polish has officially hit the shelves at WalMart. Today I walked through the beauty department surprised to see a display of beautiful nail polishes being displayed! Essie is comparable to OPI in quality, so it's interesting to see their product being sold at WalMart. The downside is the price, though it may be a bargain. The price at my Walmart was $7.75 (this price may vary depending on location). Is Essie at your Walmart yet?

REVIEW: Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover

Clinique Take The Day Off Align CenterMakeup Remover
(Pictured is a sample size of this product along with a facial cotton pad)

Again, the above picture is a sample size. The product is 4.2 fl. oz. and retails for $18.00. It can be purchased from Sephora, Sephora.com and Clinique.com. There are other places where the product can be purchased, they are just not listed here. This product is made to easily remove eye makeup, masacara, and lip products.

PROS: Easily removes makeup, does not really have a smell, do not have to use that much to remove a generous amount of makeup, doesn't sting if it hits the eye, opthamologist tested!

CONS: Leaves a bit of an oily feel if not cleaned off all the way, could be considered a bit pricey especially for a drugstore product lover.

Overall, this is a good product and I would repurchase it!

Winged Eyeliner Howto

Below are instructions to achieve a winged eyeliner look that is simply. Using drugstore products may this look even easy to achieve because it is affordable. Enjoy!
What you need, not pictured is a flesh colored matte eyeshadow:
Steps
1.Apply a eye shadow based to the lid of the eye and blend it out with a finger. I currently use L'Oreal De-Crease. I then place a flesh tone matte eyeshadow overtop of the base. I find this step helps the eyeliner last longer!
2.Dip a small angled brush into the gel eyeliner. The brush I used is from Michael's craft store. It is the Simply Simmons 1/8 Angle Shader brush. The gel eyelinder is Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner in Black 04.
3.Starting from the middle of the top lash liner, apply the gel eyeliner from this point to the end of the lash line.
4.You may have to re-dip the brush into the gel eyeliner. From the inner corner of the top lash line place the brush here and connect the line that was started from the middle. You should now have lined the top lash line.
5.You can now continue the line past the end of the top lash line to create a wing. Again, you may have to re-dip the brush.
6.If between the line you have created and your lashes there is some skin showing, liquid eyeliner can be used to fill in this area. I used Wet n' Wild's Mega Liner in 861 Black.
7.Finish off with concealing the undereyes and adding mascara and your finished!
Products Mentioned:
1. L'Oreal De-Crease

2. Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner (Black 04)
3. Simply Simmons 1/8 Angle Shader Brush
4. Wet n' Wild Mega Liner (861 Black)
*All of the products above can be purchased at drugstores, EXCEPT THE SIMPLY SIMMONS BRUSH which can be purchased at Michael's craft store.

Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush Peach Satin (#20)

Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush Peach Satin (#20)
This blush is not quite a cream nor a powder, it's a mousse! (Hence the name) This color is a very light pink with a slight peach color. It is definitely more pink than peach. The texture is soft and almost similar to a marshmallow. There is shimmer in this blush which is silvery/pinky in color. It gives a soft, nature glow to the cheeks which is lovely. Personally, using fingers to apply this product is easiest. The price can range between $6-$8 dollars based on location and place of purchase. I would definitely repurchase this product!

Making Photos POP in Adobe Photoshop

The following photos are my own. They were taken in Montreal, CA while I was on vacation during summer of 2010. Below are three before and afters. Using Adobe Photoshop, I was able to adjust colors, contrast, levels, and other settings to achieve a more stricting photo. Enjoy!
